The next morning we woke up at like 6am to go snorkelling in the Great Barrier Reef. After a long bus ride to Port Douglas, we got on our boat and were taken out to the Reef. They gave everyone loads of coffee and horrible muffins before we set off and the sea was really rough -- this resulted in A LOT of vomit. Basically half of the people on this massive boat were outside holding sick bags ready to vomit. It was hilarious. But so digusting. Me and Flo had a cheeky little chunder or two and I sat in the middle of the boat making my pained face so the whole crew made such a fuss over how sick i was feeling when it really wan't that bad. They kept being like 'don't worry, we're nearly there, just hold on for a bit longer...' and it was like yeah i'm actually fine. Ha ha. Anyway, after the horrific boat ride which seemed to go on for hours, we got to go snorkelling in the reef! It was awesome! The coral was amazing and so brightly coloured - everything looked almost flourescent and all the fish were beautiful. Never seen anything like it before. Such a great experience. Had a bit of lunch and a bit of a sunbathe on the deck before getting the bus back home.
The next day we woke up exhaused at the thought of our 4th tour in a row when the bus came to pick us up about 2 minutes after we woke up. nightmare. We went on a cruise on the Daintree River and we saw loads of saltwater crocodiles! Some baby ones and some massive ones it was amazing and so weird. Felt like we were properly in australia and we saw loads of snakes as well. So that was awesome. Then we went for a walk through the rainforest, then had lunch, then went to some rock-pools for a swim, then went to Port Douglas for a wonder, then back to Cairns. We were all so tired all day though because of getting up at like 6am everyday for the past 5 days. Yuck.
Going to Sydney tomorrow which should be good! Can't wait.
i don't think i've ever been so happy about someone throwing up
