We got a flight to Fiji early the next morning and arrived in Nadi in the evening - waited in a massive queue, breezed through customs as they don't care if you have anything to declare or not, then waited a while longer for our lift to the hostel - Fiji time kicking in already. We spent the evening on the beach with a group of Fijians we met which was really fun. We spent the whole of the next day on the beach then the next day we went into Nadi town and visited the temple and went to the market which was fun. Fran and Turlough arrived that night!! Exciting! Spent the evening with them and others we met at the hostel. Spent the next day just chilling on the beach with them while we planned the rest of our time.
The next morning we got a bus then a boat to Robinson Crusoe Island where we spent 4 nights. It was INCREDIBLE. Really nice beach full of hammocks and beach swings, loads of free activities and probably the most muscly men I have ever seen in my life. Phwoar. There was a Kava ceremony every night, and we got to do fun stuff like make jewelery out of coconuts, go snorkelling and kayaking, having mudfights and stuff. The highlights were definitely the fire-dancing shows - AMAZING. We spent the evening drinking Kava, playing games, going on bushwalks in the pitch black, having bonfires on the beach and listening to island tuunes. By the end we had a right gang going and everyone called us Islanders - amazing. We joined in with all the welcome and goodbye songs and it was generally amazing. So sad to leave at the end of the 4 nights. Waaahh.
Anyway, after all that excitement we got a boat back to the mainland and then got another boat out to Mana Island. We chilled out that day and waited for F and T to come on the next boat - Gry and Christian who we met on Robinson Crusoe also came so we felt a bit like the old gang again. There was a dance show that evening which was well good with all the island classics coming out again. The next was was ma birfday - got some lovely presents in the morning from Flo and the gang and then did some snorkelling etc during the day and then had a partayy in the evening. So much fun. Really good night and everyone was so nice. BULA.
We are currently in Nadi, waiting for our flight this evening back to London. I think I might cry when we leave. I love it here, it's so awesome. Also can't put any photos up right now as my cam's out of battery but i'll do it when i get home. Wahooooo
